President
Amy McDonald
Amy currently serves as the President of the LPCA Board and is passionate about providing for the needs of pediatric oncology families. Her vision for LPCA is to develop robust community-wide support for families enduring a cancer diagnosis. Professionally, Amy has been a physician assistant in pediatric oncology for 18 years. Outside of work, she enjoys cheering on her 3 children, traveling, and ice cream!

Treasurer
Angie Cervantez
Angie serves as the treasurer for the LPCA board. She has seen this group grow from the 1st Walk event to the current non-profit association. She is a pediatric nurse in hematology/oncology and has been a nurse for 29 years. She grew up in nearby Idalou, TX. She enjoys binge-watching TV series, baking, gardening, reading, and spending time with her family & pets.

Chairwoman, LPCA Walk
Bianca Cervantez
Bianca serves as LPCA’s Pediatric Cancer Walk Committee Chair and enjoys planning this event to honor our patients and their families. She also enjoys baking, gardening, and her two puppies.

Professor of Hematology/Oncology
Mohamad Al-Rahawan
Mohamad is a professor of pediatric hematology/oncology at Texas Tech University Health Science Center. He grew up in Damascus, Syria and has lived in the United States since 1999. Mohamad enjoys writing and biking.

Professional Counselor
Patricia Crow
Patricia is a licensed professional counselor specializing in trauma therapy. She is a wife and mother of four, including a childhood cancer survivor. In addition to her work, she volunteers at Western Little League, is active in church, and enjoys traveling.

Operations Center Manager
Amanda Knight
Amanda is the Operations Center Manager for the South Plains Oncology Consortium which conducts early phase clinical trials for both adult and pediatric cancer patients. She has been involved in oncology research for 20 years. She enjoys serving in the Children’s ministry at her church, gardening, and spending time with her family
